Der Tag M - Buch
In the "Day M" the author reconstructs the concrete preparations for attack on Central and Western Europe at a precisely defined time. The day "M" indicates the time of the official mobilization (Russian: mobilizacija), as defined by the later Chief of Staff of the Red Army, Boris M. Schaposhnikov, in a basic military theoretical work. Suvorov differentiates between two stages: Firstly, the secret preparation for the day "M", which begins after politically determining the beginning of the armed conflict, secondly, the open mobilization that begins on day "M" and must be directly transformed into combat operations. The author brings together a wealth of details to prove that the USSR under Stalin since August 1939 has rigorously focused its military and military strategic activities on the opening of a war of aggression against Germany and Western Europe in July 1941. In the defeats of the Red Army in the summer of 1941 Suvorov sees decisive evidence that the non-defensive Soviet forces were surprised by the preemptive strike of the German Wehrmacht at a time when they had not yet completed their own offensive march.
