Der Eisbrecher: Hitler in Stalins Kalkül - Gebundenes Buch

The Russian author - formerly high-ranking officer of the Soviet military intelligence service GRU - was insider witness to the systematic war plans of Stalin against the German Reich in the 1930s and early 1940s. Soworov states: Stalin hoped that Hitler and his opponents in the West would weaken themselves so much in warfare that Stalin would finally be able, with his own aggression, to simply overturn the exhausted West. Hitler was given the involuntary role as "icebreaker of the revolution". When this most important book by Suvorov appeared in Germany and France for the first time 20 years ago, it triggered a heated controversy. Suvorov himself has since become the "icebreaker", because his well-documented presentation has been taken up by many historians and is now underpinned with countless other facts. The standard work is now available as a special edition with a current preface.
