Schwere Panzer der Wehrmacht: Von der 12,8 cm Flak bis zum Jagdtiger - Buch
Startled by the large, heavily armored KW-I and KW-II tanks of the Soviets during the Second World War, which Wehrmacht had nothing to oppose, a race for the development of heavy and heavy battle tanks began in the series. While some of these vehicles never left the drawing board stage, other best cases were built as prototypes, it has made a third series to mass production. Among the prototypes were the two tank destroyers "Sturer Emil" and "Jagdtiger", but in the series production eventually only the latter came.
After his successful book on the super heavy Panzerkampfwagen "mouse" Michael Fröhlich cares in this new volume now the same meticulousness around these two heavyweights, which are used as commonality with the "mouse" 12.8-cm-Kanone. Illustrated by more than 220 unique pictures, drawings and sketches, the technology, armament, motorization and the development stories of these tank destroyers are described competently and in detail. Original description of the 12.8 cm Panzerjägerkanone 80, which was equipped with »Jagdtiger«, including equipment list.
