Die Kollaboration 1939-1945 - Gebundenes Buch
How large the number of foreigners who worked together for a variety of reasons with the German Reich and which impressive spiritual potency they represented shows this collection with 177 portraits of men and women of the worldwide "collaboration" with the National Socialist Germany. You will come across politicians and military leaders like Philippe Petain, Andrej Vlasov, Vidkun Quisling, but also artists and scientists like Ezra Pound, Knut Hamsun or Sven Hedin. The well-known historian Prof. dr. Franz W. Seidler describes the motives for the cooperation of these people in "New Europe" as well as the consequences for their homeland, for Germany and for themselves. After the war, they were considered "traitors" to the victors and not infrequently detained under inhuman circumstances tortured, convicted or murdered if they had not previously chosen suicide as a last resort. The representatives of the "collaboration" listed here symbolically stand for hundreds of thousands of others who, like them, believed that they were doing the best possible for themselves and their homeland alongside Germany.
