By order of 18 September 1939, the formation of this association was made of members of the police order. In the Western campaign, the division participated in the breakthrough battles through the Maginot Line. Assigned to Army Group North in 1941, the unit passed through Lithuania and marched for more than 1,000 kilometers to the city limits of Leningrad. Relocated to Greece in 1944, the division fought against partisans. From there she retired to Serbia in the autumn. In the spring of 1945 it reached the Gotenhafen-Gdansk area, was used in Pomerania and west of Berlin for use. Hundreds of thousands were kept open by the determined defense of the SS grenadiers the way to the saving west. The images presented here are not PK photos, but come from the photo albums of the soldiers themselves.
