Otto Skorzeny - Lebe gefährlich + Wir kämpften, wir verloren - (2 Bände)
(2 volumes)
The II. WK brought forth many unconventional forms of combat: cunning and deception in commandos, sabotage behind enemy lines, operations in enemy uniforms, kamikaze missions. Obersturmbannführer Otto Skorzeny was one of the leading protagonists of these new types of combat. In 1940 he joined the "Leibstandarte Adolf Hitler", carried out various secret commandos and in 1944 became commander of the SS hunting federations. He was also involved in the suppression of the Stauffenberg coup on 20 July 1944. Highly honored with the German Cross in gold and as the 826th soldier with the Oak Leaves to the Knight's Cross, Skorzeny still has the myth of being "Hitler's most dangerous man".
