Mediapack with book and two CDs
How times change. - Today, the Comenius-Gymnasium in Düsseldorf-Oberkassel sees the ideas of the 1968 movement connected and emphasizes the integration of children with a migrant background. When Klaus Grotjahn was serving on the flak headlight on the tower of this school, the world looked different and the students were carved from different wood. Grotjahn reports in this richly illustrated book about his sheltered childhood, his activities as Pimpf of the German young people and about his commitment to air protection in his hometown.
Finally, at the age of 16, he joins the flak troop and arrives in Pomerania in a 8.8 cm big battle battery. Captivating, the author tells of his bloody-cruel experiences, which he had as a 17 -year-old along with comrades from the 11th SS volunteer division "Nordland" during the final battle in Berlin. Finally he falls into the hands of the Soviets.
