Verloren in Klessin - DVD+18
Klessin on the Oder in February and March 1945. As the Red Army fights farther and farther west and Berlin approaches dangerously, troops move to Klessin, a small village not far from a strategic crossing of the Oder. The refugees from the former German territories, which are already in Russian control, also cross the area on their way west. In the resulting chaos, Captain von Stock and his troop help a group of refugees, giving them shelter and a little time to rest before heading west. Between the military and political events of the time and the profoundly personal relationship between Captain von Stock and a little girl who lost his mother on the run from the approaching Red Army, the film tells of friendship and trust, of care and mutual help, of honor, camaraderie and fighting spirit.
